December 2024- Supporting the Dementia Christmas Afternoon Tea - Beechwood Shop + Hub

We were proud to attend the Christmas Dementia Café Afternoon Tea event in collaboration with the Beechwood Community Shop and Hub. This festive and heartwarming occasion provided a welcoming space for individuals living with dementia, as well as their families and carers, to come together and enjoy a joyful community gathering.

Events like this are so important, as they offer a chance for those affected by dementia to stay connected and involved in community life, while also giving carers a valuable opportunity to share experiences, find support, and build meaningful connections.

Our care coordinators and social prescribers attended the event, offering advice, guidance, and friendly conversation to all guests. Their presence ensured that support was available for anyone who needed it, whether it was signposting to services or simply lending a listening ear.

The afternoon was filled with festive cheer, delicious tea and treats, and a strong sense of togetherness. It was a truly uplifting event that highlighted the power of community, compassion, and connection—especially during the holiday season.
